Reading Athletes of the Year
The Reading Athlete of the Year Award is voted on by our Varsity Head Coaches and recognizes one senior male and female student-athlete who exemplify the best of Reading Athletics through their dedication, leadership, work ethic, and commitment to their teams and school community.

This year’s Female Athlete of the Year is Brooke Androne. Brooke has built one of the most accomplished athletic careers in recent Reading history, earning 14 varsity letters during her high school career. She has been named First Team All-League 6 different times across the 4 sports she has played, earned All-District honors in basketball, and will continue her academic and athletic career next year playing basketball at Mount St. Joseph University. Her competitiveness, leadership, and dedication to her teams made her an obvious choice for this honor.

This year’s Male Athlete of the Year is Marc Smith. Marc has excelled across multiple sports during his time at Reading, earning First Team All-League honors in football and Second Team All-League honors in basketball. He has also had an outstanding track and field season this spring, currently sitting second in the CHL in both the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash. Marc’s athletic success, work ethic, and competitive drive have made a tremendous impact on Reading Athletics.

Congratulations to all of our senior award recipients on these incredible accomplishments and for the lasting impact you have made on Reading Athletics and the Blue Devil community!
